Hey there friend!
The holidays this year were a total whirlwind, am I right?
Maybe you're the person who takes down all your holiday decor right away, or maybe you are someone who waits a little while. Just because the holidays are over, though, doesn't mean you can't keep up more winter inspired decor items!
Today, let's take a look at some ways you can keep your home feeling warm and cozy throughout the coldest months of the year!
Yep, bring those greens in! We love traditional greens without any glitter, or flocked greens that look like you just brought them in after a snow!
Whites and blues:
We absolutely love the way white and blue makes us feel, especially with winter decor! You can go monochrome-all white or all blue, or you can mix and match!!
Lots of blankets!
Blankets are truly a staple for winter decor, especially if you have thicker, cozier ones! You can always use blankets as decor as well as for snuggling by draping them over your furniture or displaying them on a ladder/quilt holder!
The temperature of light is measured in Kelvins, and you can actually change the visible temperature of your home by changing your lightbulbs! Warmer light bulbs have a higher Kelvin number and make your home feel warmer. Cooler light bulbs have a lower Kelvin number and make your home feel cooler. The color of your light bulb has no bearing on the actual temperature, but creating a warmer look in your home will definitely make you feel more cozy!
Something to keep in mind, though, with warmer temperature light bulbs is that if you have white walls, it will make them look a bit more orange.
