Located in the heart of Grundy Center, the Red Brick House was an incredibly special project for our team to design. Our client was our Owner Katie's mom, and it is always a unique privilege to be trusted to design our family and friend’s homes. We transformed this historic 1900s home into a charming space filled with character in every single room. Although we completely gutted the home, we honored the original architectural elements while seamlessly bringing in the new design style our client loves.

Through the remodel, we were able to add a master bathroom and a full kitchen that looks like it was always there. A few standout features in the kitchen include quartz countertops, Showplace Cabinets, and lights over the peninsula originally found in our client's restaurant - The Landmark. In the living room, we stripped down the fireplace to its original elements, including the green floor tile. To further honor the integrity of this home, we matched the original quarter-sawn oak in each room that gives a nod to the 1900s design and brings in additional character.

The Red Brick Remodel will remain a favorite of our team’s for years to come, due in large part to the special client we were honored to work with.
